The Comanche Nation Housing Authority’s Board of
Commissioners Regular meeting was held Thursday August 23, 2007 at 5:30 p.m. in
the Conference Room located at 402 SE ‘F’ Avenue, Lawton, Oklahoma.
I. CALL TO ORDER:

III. ROLL CALL ESTABLISHMENT OF QUORUM:
The following Commissioners were present at roll

Lanny Asepermy is also present from the Comanche

V. READING AND APPROVAL OF BOARD MEETING MINUTES:
July 26, 2007:
Motion made by Commissioner Richard Attocknie to
approve the minutes for July 26, 2007.

approve the financial reports for July 2007.

VII. DEPARTMENTAL REPORTS: For Boards information
only.
Motion made by Commissioner Edward Eschiti to
contract out for two homes in Cache and two homes in Walters, for repairs.

Samantha Claw has resigned her position as Safety
Officer, CNHA is advertising for this position.
Monthly Training Reports: A report turned in from
each employee after returning from training. For Boards information only.

The chair recognized Vincent Kosechata Sr. who has
come before the board to ask why he is still receiving a monthly rental
statement with a balance owed on the burned home he had occupied in the past
that he does not live in at present. The home was located at 216 3rd
Street in Elgin, Oklahoma. He is also asking if he could be put back into the
Low Rental program.
Exception was made: CNHA will repair the burned
home and place Mr. Kosechata back in the home. He must follow all guidelines to
the program.
Dianna Butler requested that the board go into
Executive Session at this time.

into executive session.

Motion was made by Commissioner Richard Attocknie
to reinstate Vincent Kosechata Sr. back into the Low Rental Program as long as
he complies with all rules and regulations of the Comanche Nation Housing
Authority and also is responsible for rental payment of his current rental until
the home is complete unless housing insurance will cover it.

to pay the Executive Director One Hundred (100) hours of vacation for the fiscal
year 2007.

Motion was made by Commissioner Edward Eschiti, a
resolution (20-07), by the Comanche Nation Housing Authority’s Board of
Commissioners to add the exception statement that qualified Elder applicants who
previously have been assisted by the Comanche Nation HIP Program, may receive
assistance with a stove and refrigerator because the BIA guidelines restrict HIP
from assisting with these items.

XI. OTHER BUSINESS THAT MAY LEGALLY COME BEFORE THE
BOARD
A resolution (20-17), by the CNHA to help approved
elders with a stove and refrigerator after being rehabbed by the Tribal HIP
program, who does not supply these appliances due to a BIA policy clause.
