CNHA Employees Receive Lead-Based Paint TrainingWednesday, February 11, 2015 - Lawton, OK
On Jan 28, members of the CNHA Maintenance department received valuable training certifying them to perform housing renovations and other repairs in a lead-based paint environment.
Lead is a highly toxic metal that may cause a range of health problems, especially in young children and home renovations in a lead-based paint environment is heavily regulated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
The course is the EPA Model Curriculum based on the Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Rule and HUD's Lead Safe Housing Rule and meets the performance standard of Regulation 40 CFR Part.
Successful completion of the training titled "Renovator Initial - English" certifies the employee for a five year period.
